left hand blogging
starting today i'll (if in the office) left hand blog. it's not an experiment, just the logical thing to do when right hand has beautiful cast just to hold my broken fingers in a steady position.
maybe the quality of the posts is going to change.
at least there is going to be less text.

sonic bed
Kaffe Matthews’ “Sonic Bed_London” installation consists of a bed equipped with built-in loudspeakers; when installation visitors lie down on it, an endlessly changing music moves and vibrates up and down and around your body. Due to their frequency and intensity, these sounds are perceived not only with the ears but also with the entire body in what is a very pleasant experience. The installation has already been exhibited several times and has proven to be a popular attraction with young and old alike since it harmoniously appeals to several different dimensions of human life. The choice of what is actually a rather intimate object used in everyday life as well as the proximity of other installation visitors opens up a strong social component. On the other hand, the installation also makes it possible to experience sound in a new way and thereby provides access to a new auditory dimension.

stolen?
inspired?
wooster published something about one nike ad saying that is stolen.
well.we can have a huge talk about inspiration, and nothing new.
can you own an idea? maybe someone from the agency who did it saw robin's photos.it happends with a lot of ads.but when you think of it, the creatives in agencies are not some geniuses that have instant brilliant solutions.they are normal poeple.that go to exhibitions and see movies.the happiness factory( coke) resembles to me with charlie and the chocolate factory.is it stealing?
or is it just another perspective on things?
kill bill says that tarantino likes japanese animations, and that he saw al least one mathew barney exhibition and that he saw a lot of discovery channel.is it stealing?
somebody said at one point that all the ideas that we can think of have been thought of and all the images that we can see were seen before.so there's nothing new.
i think i have to read again bourriaud's postproduction.

kids creativity education
Going back to last week. The napoleons in bucharest.
At one point there was a design test.Given some materials we had raise a self sustainable structure that would put the marshmallow highest possible.20 spaghetti. 1 m of tape.1 m of dental wire.(mint) and a marshmallow.
Teams, complicated or simple structures, measurement at the end.
The best part comes when russell shows some pics with kids who took the test. They raised beautifull structures. They cheated by asking for more spaghetti or more tape. They tried more than 2 times to raise the thing.Funny but no one from the audience thought of even asking for more materials. Our team asked if we could cut the marshmellow in pieces and use it for the structure, but that's not cheating cause we didn't cut the marshmellow.
Got me thinking about how kids react and communicate.
And then i found this lecture about educating creativity. At some point ken robinson says that we grow out of creativity.I tend to say that he is right.
And after this i go to russell davies and find his kid reading a book. His reactions to drawings are so fresh and unexpected.
No conclusion or something.Just got me thinking that there's something about kids that we're completlly missing.

emotions
a while ago posted something about emosive hug shirt and wearable interfaces.
now philips announces "Philips clothing prototypes light up to reflect the ‘emotions’ of the wearer"
untill now the hug shirt is the best because not only it shows emotions but it connects 2 people.

recycling culture
i could write about the last 2 days.
been invited to the napoleons descent in bucharest.thanks bogdana. i can try to summarize the experience. but maybe i'm not going to do that.
a lot of questions popped in my mind while the napoleons napoleoned.
besides their presentations and sometimes stupid questions from the audience i really liked what russell said about blogs and how they teach you skills. i really liked a lot of things i heard. nothing new. besides that planners should learn how to edit a video.
got me thinking about recycling culture. postproduction, creating content and meaning, building trust and being onest and funny, blogs, kids, design and the list can go on.
maybe later i'll come back to this decision and tell you more.

art inspires art
like it because it experiments new ways of perceiving art
each month a new track will be showcased on a pair of headphones in front of the art that inspired it

i find it hard to post. just because i wonder why don't i just go outside and enjoy the sun.
been outdoor lately, so the whole office situation seems a bit weird.
nevertheless i still read some things and logic+emotion posted something about creativity and genius that i really like.
